As a Locum Medical Doctor, you will be pivotal in delivering excellent patient care and supporting our healthcare team in achieving optimal treatment outcomes. Your expertise in oncology will directly contribute to patient support, clinical assessments, and collaborative treatment planning.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for oncology patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care Monitor and document patient progress and treatment responses Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and care plans Attend and participate in case consultations and team meetings Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology practices Adhere to ethical and regulatory standards in patient care
MD or DO degree with a focus on Oncology Experience in a medical or clinical setting, preferably in oncology Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team Demonstrated commitment to patient care and quality improvement Current medical licensure in the state of New York Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
Flexible Schedule: 8a-5p
No call requirement
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Daily Volume: 6 inpatients, 4-6 outpatients
Case Types: All tumors, including benign
No liquid/malignant cases, including leukemia
Support Staff: Other physicians, APPs, and clinic nurses
Must be board-certified
