The Registered Nurse is responsible for preparing patients for cardiac catheterization and assisting cardiologists during various cardiac interventions. They also monitor patients post-procedure to ensure stability and provide necessary discharge instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to RN Cath Lab): Assess patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures (Pre-Procedure Preparation) Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiological studies, and other cardiac interventions (Intra-Procedure Assistance) Monitoring patient post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensuring patient stability before discharge or transfer to another unit
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.One (1) year Cath Lab experience; required 2.Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required 3.Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required #LI-JO3 Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
