About the role

Perform complex CT and X-ray imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and radiation protection. Additionally, conduct various laboratory tests and maintain instrument performance within a fast-paced ER environment.

TMB Radiology Technologist License, ARRT-CT Certification, BLS-Provider Certification About the job Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities. Radiology/CT Techs working at our Free-Standing ERs are proficient in laboratory functions and frequently assist in performing various laboratory tests. Competency will be maintained in accordance with criteria defined by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Responsibilities

Perform complex tasks associated with the operation of Computed Tomography, X-ray, and related equipment to produce special images of specific body parts. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff. Take thorough and accurate patient medical histories and notify the Radiologist, as necessary. Screen patients for CT contrast safety prior to procedure performance. Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during exam. Coordinate work with clerical personnel and other technologists. Start I.V's and administer contrast media as directed and per protocol. Monitor patients' conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to physician. Performs laboratory care for patients of all age groups through the use of laboratory processes Maintains positive working relationships with staff and other departments to provide optimal quality outcomes within the framework of professional laboratory practice perform waived and moderate complexity manual and automated testing Independently performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Coagulation Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for all laboratory instruments for optimal performance Perform appropriate patient identifiers while collecting and/or processing specimens for the laboratory; these res

Graduate of an accredited Radiology technologist program is required 1+ years of previous CT experience preferred 1+ years of previous Emergency Room experience preferred 1+ years of previous Laboratory experience preferred Experience working in fast-paced environment preferred Must have current ARRT and TDH license Registered in Computed Tomography preferred Job Type: PRN, Night Shift, Day Shift Why should you Join Us?
