Market context

Virginia first-assist roles stay selective

In Virginia, Certified First Assistant openings are typically driven by hospital and surgical center staffing needs, so employers often look for candidates who can step into the OR with limited ramp-up. This role is competitive because it requires accredited surgical technology training, CST or first-assist experience, and current BLS, while the listed benefits include health coverage, PTO, and tuition assistance. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your certification pathway and operating-room experience before applying.
