About the role

Responsible for providing individualized addiction services, including assessing, planning, and monitoring client behaviors in a residential corrections setting. Duties involve leading educational groups, conducting crisis interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Position Summary

Responsible for individualized client services provided in a setting providing addictions services. Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating client behaviors and outcomes while ensuring appropriate level/type of service is provided.

Position Description

  • With close supervision; conducts interviews and administers assessments and screening instruments as defined by certification
  • Maintain caseload and productivity by ensuring regular contact with clients to monitor and assess progress
  • Lead educational groups and/or facilitate group curriculum
  • Write service plans, review progress and determine updates needed in collaboration with client and team
  • Utilize approved best practice model working with clients in individual or group setting
  • Deliver on-going services to clients which may include: crisis intervention, advocacy, medication monitoring, and referral and linkage to community resources as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and agency policies
  • Document all clinical activities to meet specific program, funder and regulatory criteria timely and with accuracy
  • Participate in team meetings and assist in making recommendations for client status changes
  • Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to provide group and individual substance use disorder services
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong ethical and professional behavior.
  • Ability to relate to and interact with a wide variety of people in an ethical, culturally sensitive and respectful manner
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to multi-task while prioritizing
  • Ability to utilize technology including electronic service documentation system

Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Behavioral Science or related field or;
  • Equivalent work experience as allowed/required by regulatory bodies
  • CDCA , LCDC I/II/III required

Essential Functions/Physical Demands

Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Frequent sitting.

Gross

Mobility: Rare climbing, or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.

Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception, and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity, and visual accommodation. Frequent to constant talking.
