About the role

Provide direct evidence-based services and CT-R to young people experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Responsibilities include administering assessments, creating treatment and crisis plans, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team.

First Episode Psychosis Recovery Oriented Counselor (Masters Level Therapist)

The On My Way Program is a Coordinated Specialty Care approach to treating young people who have recently experienced their first episode of psychosis.

The Masters Level Therapist and care team offers young people an array of services, including low-dose medication management, Recovery Oriented Cognitive Therapy, Family Education, Case Management, Supported Education and Employment, and Peer Support services.

Service coordination is guided by the young person’s voice and choice.

Our goal is to help improve the quality of life of young people by instilling hope through empowerment to guide their own treatment, educating them about their psychosis, re-establishing relationships, and re-integrating them back into the community whether it’s attending school or working.

This position will travel and work within Bucks County.

Position Summary

Provide direct services to individuals, families, and groups through an evidence-based Coordinated Specialty Care program, specifically providing CT-R. Administer assessments for intake and outcome measures including: Quality of Life, Cognitive Functioning, Differential Diagnosis, and functional assessments related to community integration. Create, maintain, update and implement treatment + crisis plans according to the needs of the young people. Provide psychoeducation to young people and their families related to psychosis in an individual and/or group format. Coordinate care given by collaborating with On My Way team members and multidisciplinary professionals to provide and facilitate care in accordance with policies and procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the program model and of Child and Family Focus. Rotate weekly on call availability to provide after-hours remote crisis support to young people on an as-needed basis. Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment. Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Human Service or related field including psychology, counseling or social work

Requirements

A Master's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work is required. Experience with CBT, transition-aged youth, and the schizophrenia spectrum is preferred.
