Our team provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adolescents, adults, and older adults in a supportive, patient-centered environment located on a beautiful 22-acre campus in Garland, Texas.

We're looking for a dedicated Assessment & Referral Clinician who is passionate about helping individuals access the behavioral healthcare they need.

In this role, you'll serve as a critical first point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and community partners, helping ensure timely access to care through comprehensive assessments, admissions coordination, and clinical decision-making.

What You'll Do As an Assessment & Referral Clinician, you will: Conduct behavioral health assessments to determine appropriate levels of care.

Respond to referral and inquiry calls from patients, families, providers, and community partners.

Schedule and coordinate patient assessments and admissions.

Review clinical information and verify insurance requirements, including pre-certifications as needed.

Collaborate with physicians, case managers, utilization review, business office staff, and treatment teams to facilitate timely admissions.

Coordinate releases of information and obtain necessary medical records.

Assist with discharge planning, referrals, and connecting patients with community resources when appropriate.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation, referral logs, and departmental statistics.

Provide exceptional customer service while building positive relationships with patients, families, referral sources, and colleagues.

Deliver direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions.

Approximately 85% of the role involves direct clinical services, with the remaining time dedicated to documentation, collaboration, and clinical responsibilities.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Current Texas clinical license as one of the following: LPC-A LPC LMSW LCSW Experience conducting behavioral health assessments and/or providing behavioral health treatment.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting. Experience working with adult and geriatric populations. Requirements

Requires a current Texas clinical license (LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW) and experience in behavioral health assessments. Preference is given to candidates with experience in acute inpatient settings and geriatric populations.
