  • Category: ClinicianClinician for Substance Use Program Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) is seeking a full-time clinician for the Center for Substance Use Services (CSUS). This office-based clinical role serves adults whose lives have been impacted by substance use and works collaboratively with clients and other providers and resources, both within and external to the agency. This position is a wonderful opportunity to serve the Capitol region of Vermont by helping individuals develop stabilization skills with a recovery and harm-reduction focus, bringing about more positive impacts for the individual and the community. Summary of Job Duties This list is a summary and not a comprehensive list of duties. Provide assessment and recommendations for level of care Collaborate with client and CSUS treatment team with referrals to appropriate providers and community support services Provide group and individual therapy in collaboration with WCMHS and external programs serving adults and families Provide support services such as outreach visits, benefit access, and assistance with parenting and independent living skills. May include transporting clients when clinically indicated Attend and engage in staff meetings, trainings, individual and group supervision Maintain case records and productivity rates to WCMHS standards, timing, and expectations Compensation and Benefits WCMHS offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan with generous contribution match, and an industry-leading paid time off package: 12.5 flexible paid holidays, 12 days of sick time in year one, and 12 days of vacation time accrued in year one. The starting salary rate for this position is $54,500 to $56,700 per year. QualificationsQualifications and Skills Master's level clinician required Knowledge of the effects of substance use and experience with clients experiencing substance use disorders Knowledge of and experience with treatment modalities in substance use and mental health Demonstrated clinical and assessment skills, oral and written Excellent communication, organizational, and group facilitation skills Knowledge of existence and referral process to agency and community resources Demonstrated ability to professionally and reliably work as a team member, including in creation and participation in treatment team meetings, client advocacy, and behavior management consultation The ability to deliver services and maintain treatment notes in English Work Environment This position sometimes includes transporting clients in one's own vehicle. As such, consistent access to a safe, inspected, and insured vehicle is required. Must be willing to work some evening hours. Work is in-person and mostly office-based but can occur in community and client home settings. Extensive time periods sitting or standing and using a computer. Requirements

Requires a Master's level clinician with knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health treatment modalities. Must possess strong clinical assessment skills and have access to a safe, insured vehicle for client transport.
