About the role

Independently performs nuclear medicine procedures and administers radiopharmaceuticals while ensuring radiation protection practices. Coordinates patient flow and maintains equipment to ensure optimal departmental operation.

Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.

Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.

Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Nuclear Medicine department including radiation protection practices.

Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.

May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.

May have on call responsibilities.

May require working at multiple sites.

Education Minimum Level of Education Required

Requirements

Requires an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and valid ODH licensure. Must hold CPR certification and registry credentials from ARRT RT (R) and/or NMTCB.
