The primary purpose of the Cardiovascular Technician position is to provide direct patient care, perform as a scrub person during Cath Lab procedures, perform hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring, assist in the preparation of the procedural room and set-up of table and equipment for procedures, under the direction and supervision of a Physician and Registered Nurse.
What You’ll Do Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab). Perform scrub duties during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Monitor and record hemodynamic and physiological patient data throughout procedures. Prepare the procedure room, including equipment, instruments, and supplies. Set up and maintain the procedure table and related equipment. Assist physicians and registered nurses during Cath Lab procedures. Ensure procedural areas and equipment are ready and functioning properly. Carry out duties under the direction and supervision of a physician and registered nurse.
What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or equivalent training; or successful completion of the Cardiovascular Technologist Internship Program within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Department. Minimum of two (2) years of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience. Experience with: Cardiac hemodynamic monitoring Physiologic monitoring Providing first-line sterile assistance during diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac procedures CVT (Cardiovascular Technician) or RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist) certification is highly preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required. Compensation The expected hourly rate is $40.76, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law.
