The nurse will help restart a cardiac rehab program by monitoring patients during exercise and reading telemetry. Responsibilities include creating individualized treatment plans and coordinating care with cardiologists and physical therapists.
We are looking for regular clinical hours in cardiac rehab to help get the program up and running again after a period of inactivity. Commitment would be about 12 hours/Week to start; 4 hours each m/Tu/Th. Looking for a candidate who is reliable and would like to work closely with a rehab professional, working to help patients who have experienced a cardiac event, return to activity. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, reading telemetry, taking vital signs, assisting patients on/Off exercise equipment, assessing patient response to exercise, educating patients on a heart healthy lifestyle, creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans for patients, and communication with physical therapist, cardiologist, and other appropriate stakeholders.
The candidate must be a reliable Registered Nurse capable of assessing patient responses to exercise. They should be able to educate patients on heart-healthy lifestyles and work closely with rehab professionals.
