About Us Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) is the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health care, nationally recognized for education and research. Our mission: ensure everyone in Massachusetts has access to compassionate, judgment-free care and education. We operate four health centers and offer telehealth statewide as part of a network of 600 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide.
The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) delivers high-quality, patient-centered Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) services, including family planning and abortion care, in an efficient and supportive environment. This role requires maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills while following PPLM protocols, policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including OSHA, CLIA, Title X, and Massachusetts Department of Public Health guidelines). The APC serves as a clinical role model and resource for health center staff. They partner with leadership and colleagues to promote a positive, collaborative workplace and ensure consistent follow-up and referral care according to PPLM standards. This position is primarily based in our Boston office and requires regular travel to our Marlborough, Worcester and Springfield locations. \n
✅ Active Massachusetts license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), or Physician Assistant (PA). ✅ Current DEA registration, MA Controlled Substance Registration, and BLS/CPR certification. ✅ 5–8 years of relevant clinical experience preferred. ✅ Ability to travel between multiple work locations as needed. ✅ Strong clinical background in sexual and reproductive health. ✅ Ability to provide compassionate, inclusive care to diverse populations. ✅ Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. ✅ Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). ✅ Ability to lift 30 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
Requires an active Massachusetts license as an NP, CNM, or PA, along with DEA and BLS/CPR certifications. Preferred experience is 5-8 years of relevant clinical practice in reproductive health.
