About the role

Provide hospital-based critical care as an attending physician or subspecialty consultant, focusing on neurocritical care and advanced cardiopulmonary disease. Collaborate with advanced practice providers to manage patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and ECMO.

We are hiring a board certified/eligible Supplemental Critical Care Physician at Legacy Hospitals with training and experience in neuro and medical critical care.

Primary location for this position is at our tertiary care hospital in downtown Portland.

Responsibilities

Provide hospital-based critical care, as the attending physician-of-record or as a subspecialty consultant as requested by members of the medical staff. Perform the normal and customary functions of a physician practicing critical medicine. Primary admitting service for neurocritical care patients, with cross-coverage on neurointerventional patients. Medical management of patients with advanced cardiopulmonary disease, including patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and ECMO, with cross-coverage on cardiothoracic surgery patients. Work collaboratively with critical care advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent. Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or anesthesia and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine and/or Neuro Critical Care Medicine. Licensure Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon. Current ACLS certification from the AHA. DEA certification. Pay Range USD $0.00 - USD $0.00 /Hr. Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited U.S. medical school with completed residency in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesia and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Requires board certification/eligibility in Critical Care or Neuro Critical Care and an unrestricted Oregon medical license.
