Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring an Echocardiographer for the Cardiac service line non-invasive lab. This is a full time, day shift position in Suffolk, VA with required call. Open to new graduates and experienced candidates. Sign on Bonus of up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.
8- or 9-hour shifts between 7am -430pm
M-F and coverage for 1 weekend every 3 weeks: 7am -11am. Call is every 9th week for a 1-week period. (M-F 4:30pm to 7am and weekend call - 11am to 7am)
About the department: The Echocardiography Department is a 6-person well-established, non-invasive lab team performing approximately 25 echocardiograms daily total, including inpatient and outpatient studies. Each echocardiographer can expect to see about 7 studies per day average. The department is open to both new graduates and experienced candidates, offering a supportive environment led by a manager recognized with the ACE award, emphasizing quality, stability, and professional growth. An Echocardiographer, also known as a cardiac sonographer, specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart.
