About the role

Support clinical and administrative functions in an ambulatory setting by rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting providers with exams. Coordinate patient care through documentation in electronic health records, managing refills, and communicating test results.

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare provider in Helena, MT to help hire compassionate and motivated Medical Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) for primary care as well as medical and surgical specialty clinics.

  • Location: Primary Care, Medical and Surgical Specialty Clinics What You'll Do As a Medical Assistant or CMA, you'll work closely with providers to deliver exceptional patient care by supporting both clinical and administrative functions in an ambulatory clinic setting. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs Support daily clinic operations & assist providers with exams and procedures Administer diagnostic tests, immunizations, and medications Ensure timely clinical documentation and document patient information accurately in the electronic health record Coordinate prescription refills, referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling Communicate test results and follow up with patients Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinic readiness Participate in quality improvement initiatives while promoting patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high standards of care Collaborate with providers and the care team to deliver compassionate, coordinated care What We Are Looking For Education &b Experience High school diploma, HiSET, or GED equivalent preferred One year of healthcare experience preferred Certification Current National Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required within 6 months of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained every two years No MA certification? An employer-sponsored training program provides classroom instruction and hands-on experience to prepare you for certification. New hires receive a comprehensive orientation and 4–6 weeks of hands-on preceptorship. Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification, with a CMA certification required within six months of hire. One year of healthcare experience is preferred, though an employer-sponsored training program is available for non-certified candidates.
