About the role

The Patient Care Associate supports registered nurses by assisting patients with activities of daily living and performing clinical procedures. They are responsible for collecting specimens and maintaining a safe, clean environment for patient-focused care.

As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for patient care and support activities promoting patient focused care within the Specialty Service. The Patient Care Associate supports the registered nurse in patient care activities, such as: assisting patient with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and performing procedures; maintaining a safe, clean environment; and other duties as needed.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a certificate from a medical assistant or patient care assistant program with EKG and venipuncture skills. BLS certification and 3-9 months of healthcare experience are preferred.
