The Medical Assistant supports providers by rooming patients, performing EKGs, and measuring vital signs. They are also responsible for updating medical records, assisting with minor procedures, and managing medical supplies.

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include: Rooming patients quickly and efficiently Performing Electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures and vital sign measurement Updating medical records Assisting with minor procedures and administering injections Supporting patients through their visit, including discharge and follow-ups Managing medical supplies and ensuring a clean work environment What You Bring to the Team Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred 2+ years of experience in a medical assistant role Highly reliable and committed to team success A passion for efficiency, teamwork, and patient-centered care Excitement about learning and implementing new technologies to improve clinic workflows About Our Company At Praxis Health, we’re more than just coworkers—we’re a family. General Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. OSHA Category This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.

Requirements

Candidates should be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with at least 2 years of experience. Reliability, teamwork, and a passion for patient-centered care are essential.
