Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists with preparation and distribution of medications. The Certified Pharmacy Technician I position requires specialized pharmacy education, training, and subsequent certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or comparable entity. The Certified Pharmacy Technician I role is eligible for advanced technician positions based upon job performance and successful completion of requirements for advancement established in the Pharmacy Technician Career Ladder criteria grids.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and current certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or a comparable entity. Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician upon hire.
