About the role

Provide safe and compassionate nursing care for oncology patients by planning and implementing individualized care plans. Collaborate with the healthcare team and guide unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range

  • Hours:
  • Monday -
  • Friday: 8am - 4:30pm, no weekends or holidays.
  • What you will do: Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
  • What you will need:
  • Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.

Education

Associate's in Nursing, required.

Bachelor's in

Nursing, strongly preferred

Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required. OCN/ONS provider card preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred.

Requirements

Requires a current Illinois Registered Nurse license, an Associate's degree in Nursing, and CPR certification. Minimum of one year of oncology outpatient infusion experience is required, or experience in ED, ICU, or PACU.
