Perform comprehensive oral exams, dental cleanings, and fluoride treatments for pediatric patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene and maintain accurate treatment records in collaboration with the dental team.
Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment Review all hygiene patient charts including; reason and necessity of visit, medical history, and x-ray requirement Verify patient information with parent or guardian, according to HIPAA privacy standards Have coronal polishing certification - We are able to provide a sealant course! Verify the patient has consent for treatment from parent or guardian Advise parent or guardian what to expect in the visit and address any concerns Charting all existing/missing teeth, existing restorations, and/or dental procedures Obtaining all x-rays necessary in the best quality possible Maintaining accurate clinical notes of each visit Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA and company standards. This includes; scrubbing instruments, packing the instruments and processing them through the statim or autoclave sterilizer Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state
