About the role

Provide clinical pharmacy services and medication order verification to ensure safe and efficient patient care in a high-acuity environment. Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage pharmaceutical costs and respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy.

Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: The shift is overnight, 7 on/7 off, from 8:30 PM to 7:30 AM (Wednesday night through Wednesday morning the following week). Here’s What You Need

  • · Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required · Other Pharm D. Required · CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required. · PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required. · 3 years of hospital experience or completion of residency preferred. · Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required with Critical Care experience · IV certification highly preferred · PGY1 residency completion highly preferred · Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

  • Will Do: · Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork. · Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities. · Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care. · Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required. · Ongoing professional development and growth. · Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies. · Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available. · Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, a PharmD, and a valid pharmacist license with inpatient hospital and critical care experience. PGY1 residency completion and IV certification are highly preferred.
