About the role

The Adult Psychiatrist will conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and maintain treatment plans for adults with various diagnoses. They will prescribe medications and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery.

Beautiful Seacoast area with four seasons, 55 minutes from Boston. Expanding private, non-profit community mental health center seeks an Adult Psychiatrist to join a staff of ten psychiatrists, for outpatient care. Vibrant collegial atmosphere with competitive salary and benefits.

The Adult Psychiatrist will provide care to adults with a range of psychiatric diagnoses. Responsibilities include conducting outpatient psychiatric evaluations, maintaining treatment plans, prescribing medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery in alignment with best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Completion of an accredited residency program in general adult psychiatry.

2. License to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire. A valid DEA license.

3. Board certification in general adult psychiatry. If the applicant has completed their residency within the past 5 years, they can be considered eligible for employment but must complete board certification within 5 years from the date of completion of their training.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited residency in general adult psychiatry and hold a valid DEA license and New Hampshire medical license. Board certification is required, though recent graduates have a five-year window to achieve it.
