Description Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Hospice House-Part time (7a-7p and 7p-7a)

Essential Functions Provide personal aspects of care for patients with the goal of increasing their level of comfort and maintaining personal hygiene.
Works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, reporting any significant changes in the patient’s condition.
Duties may be adjusted at the discretion of the nurse based on the evaluation of the patient’s needs and the ability of the CNA.
The CNA is supervised by the Nurse Manager for personnel and administrative issues.
Takes all reasonable precautions to maintain privacy and non-disclosure of any confidential information about patients, other staff members, and the general operations of Columbus Hospice.
Challenges in Position 12 hour shifts with 30-minute meal break on-site; weekend shifts required; holiday shifts required; work flexible work schedules.
On feet many hours, moving rapidly, prioritizing, and coordinating patient care activities, under the guidance of the RN, to meet the needs of the patients.
High anxiety and emotions; dealing with grief, death and dying on a daily basis.
