About the role

The Licensed Psychology Associate develops and monitors individualized behavior plans for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in group home settings. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and managing crisis situations through de-escalation.

We are now hiring a skilled Full-Time Licensed Psychology Associate in Rockville, MD.

The Licensed Psychology Associate (LPA) uses best practice within a community-based setting to apply psychological methods to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

The main responsibility of the LPA is to screen medical records, conduct interviews and assessments, set treatment goals, and arrange for expediting and coordinating services.

This position is primarily located in Rockville, MD.

Starting pay is $80,000/per year

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans for adults in group homes. Tailor each plan to address specific behavioral needs while ensuring goals are clear, measurable, and achievable Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify patterns, triggers, and the underlying causes of behaviors Work with group homes staff, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective plan implementation Assist in crisis situations by providing guidance on de-escalation and managing challenging behaviors Make adjustments to plans as needed based on observed outcomes and ongoing assessments Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including behavioral assessments, progress reports, behavior plans, and other required documentation Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards Advocate for the needs and rights of residents, ensuring they receive the necessary therapeutic services Employee must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation Minimum Requirements Master's degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field Meet all minimum educational requirements for licensure as a Psychology Associate in Maryland Licensure: Psychological Associate certification or licensure in the state of Maryland Minimum of one year of experience working with adults in group home settings or with individuals with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges Experience in behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of behavior interventions Knowledge of mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges commonly seen in residential care settings Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior plans Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks or criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options? Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in psychology or a related field and possess a valid Psychology Associate license in Maryland. A minimum of one year of experience working with adults in residential care or with behavioral challenges is required.
