About the role

The Nurse Practitioner serves as a bridge between physicians and patients, managing acute and chronic neurological conditions through exams and clinical follow-ups. Responsibilities include assisting in procedures, performing wound suturing, and participating in hospital rounds and call rotations.

Description The NP/PA will work collaboratively with our physician(s) to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with chronic and acute pain conditions. This role involves a mix of clinical visits, medication management, coordination of interventional procedures, and patient education within a supportive outpatient setting.

What You'll Do

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, for new and follow-up patients Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians Perform ongoing medication management, including opioid and non-opioid regimens, in accordance with state and federal regulations Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging and lab work relevant to pain management Monitor patients for treatment efficacy, side effects, and signs of medication misuse; utilize PDMP and adhere to controlled substance protocols Provide patient education on pain management strategies, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications Assist with or coordinate interventional procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation) as applicable to scope of practice and state regulations Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation in the EMR Collaborate with physical therapy, behavioral health, and other specialists to support whole-person care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required: Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in AZ Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain) Current BLS certification Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative care team Very Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision) 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and paid holidays CME allowance and paid CME days Malpractice/liability insurance coverage Supportive, team-based work environment with experienced physician mentorship Where You'll Work: Outpatient clinic in Phoenix, Arizona

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, graduation from an accredited NP or RNFA program, and a current Arizona NP license with national certification. At least one year of experience in a hospital, pain clinic, or PM&R clinic is required.
