The Nuclear Medicine Technologist uses radionuclides to perform diagnostic and treatment procedures. They are responsible for data processing and producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Requires completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist program and certifications from the NMTCB or ARRT, along with California state certification and BLS. Candidates must have at least 6 months of recent experience or 2 years of full-time experience.
