About the role

The Ophthalmic Scribe is responsible for real-time documentation of patient encounters in the EMR system and collaborating with physicians to ensure accurate medical records. Additionally, they perform basic ocular screenings, gather patient histories, and assist with patient flow and education.

Description Up to 40 hours a week for up to 12 weeks - Temp to hire.

Join Our Team as a Vital Ophthalmic Scribe! Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Scribe to join our growing team. You'll play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency of physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time.

  • Bring/Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a medical setting, preferably ophthalmology. Excellent data entry and typing skills. Proficiency with EMR systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliability and a strong work ethic.

  • Points: Previous experience as a Medical Scribe. Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology, anatomy, and pathologies. Familiarity with common ophthalmic medications and equipment. Experience with visual acuity measurement and applanation tonometry. Knowledge of medical office procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and experience in a medical setting, preferably within ophthalmology. Proficiency in EMR systems, strong typing skills, and excellent communication abilities are required.
