About the role

Provide psychotropic medication management and psychiatric evaluations for patients in long-term care facilities. Develop personalized treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.

Position Details

  • Location: Nashville, Arkansas
  • Employment type: Part-time or full-time
  • Schedule: Standard business hours
  • Work setting: Long-term care facilities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs.
  • Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
  • Required qualifications
  • Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas.
  • Additional required credentials: AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required
  • Preferred qualification
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and occupational health principles.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing and a current Nurse Practitioner license. Familiarity with medical documentation and occupational health principles is preferred.
