  • Description: Our clinic in Oakbrook Terrace is looking for CMA who is a great team player, patient centered and who loves working in Specialties .
  • HOURS: 7am – 6pm Varying shifts Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The certified Medical Assistant Utilizes a defined skill set consistent with the basic educational program, certification, and relevant work experience to deliver direct care to the patient in the ambulatory setting. Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit. Those include direct care, registration & scheduling, physician-patient communication and other office-related tasks. In addition, will administer medication and works directly with other health care professionals at the site as well as ancillary department and services to coordinate care.

This includes but is not limited to history taking, assisting with routine tasks and procedures, telephone messaging, scheduling and visit follow up orders. Works under the supervision of a registered professional nurse when additional skill, assessment and expertise are needed, or in the absence of the physician

Work today/Get paid today · Colleague well-being resources What you will need for this job: Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education Specify Degree(s): Successful completion of accredited medical assistant program Minimum Experience: Preferred: At least one year of previous job-related experience Licensure/Certifications: Must possess at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant credentials within six (6) months of hire: · American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) · American Medical Technologists (AMT) · National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) · National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CPR/BLS by the American Heart Association – upon hire Compensation: Pay Range: $18.16 - 28.14 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Candidates must obtain a recognized CMA credential (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA) and CPR/BLS certification within six months of hire.
