WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations, treatment and related follow-up services, including discharge planning.
Document patient assessments and pertinent information in a timely manner.
Complete appropriate goal re-assessment and discharge planning.
Provide speech therapy, including selection, and use of assistive equipment.
Collaborate with patient and other healthcare personnel, or outside agencies, regarding coordination of care.
Provide speech and language therapy, according to standards of care defined by the state practice act, and other professional and governing agencies.
Train and educate patients and family members or others support, and document understanding of treatment plan and goals.
Requires a Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy, state licensure, and ASHA certification. Candidates must have at least one year of speech therapy experience and possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
