About the role

Perform psychiatric consultations and follow-up evaluations for patients within the emergency department and inpatient medical units. Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide psychiatric care in a hospital-based environment.

Job Summary

Care New England is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Consultation-Liaison team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative, hospital-based environment providing psychiatric consultation services to patients in the emergency department and inpatient medical units.

Per diem weekend coverage and occasional Day coverage 100% inpatient consultation-liaison psychiatry.

Perform psychiatric consultations and follow-up evaluations for patients in the emergency department and hospital units.

Epic utilized system wide Practice in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment at one of Rhode Island's leading community teaching hospitals.

1+ years of experience in inpatient psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, or emergency psychiatry preferred.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Certified by ANCC or AANPCB. Active Rhode Island APRN, RN, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
