About the role

The Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents while acting as a liaison between the treatment team and community agencies. They are responsible for completing assessments, contributing to master treatment plans, and ensuring comprehensive discharge planning.

  • This is a full-time, dayshift opportunity onsite at our facility.
  • Flexibility for weekends may be required on an as needed basis.

Position Summary

The Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides services to patients and families acting as a liaison between treatment team, physicians, referral sources, community agencies, outside therapists, and third-party reviewers. Additional the Licensed Social Worker/Counselor provides individual, family, multi-family and group therapy per program needs. Completes assessments, contributes to the master treatment plan, and ensures the discharge planning is complete and contributes to discharge summaries as assigned. Qualifications

Education

Master’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Counseling.

Licensure

  • Experience: Work experience as licensed social worker or counselor. Previous work experience in a mental healthcare facility is highly preferred. Must have working knowledge of developmental and life stage of and psychiatric problems peculiar to younger childhood (ages 3-7), middle childhood (ages 8-12), and adolescent (ages 13 to 18) populations. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling and possess a valid Ohio license (LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC). Experience in mental healthcare facilities and knowledge of psychiatric problems across childhood and adolescent developmental stages are highly preferred.
