Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all phlebotomy and assisting with the performance of some of the Clinical Laboratory procedures under the supervision of a medical technologist.
  • This person will maintain patient result records, laboratory documents, log sheets, make daily charges, as well as chart results.
  • Required Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Additional Qualifications/Skills: ASCP phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Documented training in all areas of the clinical laboratory preferred.
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory, hospital, or critical care setting for a minimum of one (1) year preferred.
  • Ability to work with Laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Posted Total Compensation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $23.00/hr to $26.43/hr

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma and current BLS certification. Preference is given to candidates with ASCP phlebotomy certification and at least one year of experience in a clinical or critical care setting.
