  • Summary: To apply prescribed ultrasonography for diagnosis in accordance with policy and procedure, Practicing independent good judgment and initiative in the utilization of the ultrasound equipment. To apply patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and in Accordance with the hospital’s Patient Rights Policies. Has knowledge of the needs of patients According to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patient’s age.

Support Patient’s rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity Ensure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for invasive procedures Review the medical record for patient history acquiring pertinent clinical information Proficiently operate all functions of US equipment Select the proper transducer(s) for examination(s) being performed Adjust Doppler/color Doppler controls to optimize display of data
