About the role

Deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for emotional or psychiatric disorders. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure patient safety through suicide precautions.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients who are hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders; Support the hospital and program philosophy of care and ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.

Ability to perform suicide assessments and understands suicide precautions.

Identify and incorporate each patient’s unique needs into a comprehensive and individualized care plan.

Accurate and legible documentation that meets current standards and policies.

Responds to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.

Through a systematic process of interaction with patients, the patient's significant others, and the appropriate health care providers, collects and analyzes data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, spiritual, cultural and anticipated discharge needs; determines patient's alcohol or drug toxicity; identifies signs of withdrawal; conducts screenings or assessments to determine needs of treatment.

Documents physician’s phone orders Maintains knowledge of legal guidelines pertaining to EMTALA/COBRA and abuse/neglect reporting.

Education/Licensure: Current Nevada RN License required ADN / BSN or equivalent preferred Current CPR certification A full benefits package is available the first of the month following just one month of employment!

Requirements

Requires a current Nevada RN License and CPR certification. An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
