Assists in all aspects of drug distribution within the scope of responsibility. Maintain records and other documents related to patients and medications. Functions in accordance with pharmacy law and written policies and procedures of the pharmacy department. Selects drug by name and dosage listed on patient order, places drugs in proper container with correct label, matches items with doctor’s order and assures that the drugs are checked by a licensed pharmacist. Performs other duties as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
Requires a valid California Pharmacy Technician license. A high school diploma and prior hospital pharmacy experience are preferred.
