Join our dynamic Emergency Department Team as a day shift RN at Memorial Community Hospital!

Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

As an Emergency Department RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care, working closely with a dedicated team of providers and healthcare professionals at our Critical Access Hospital.

You’ll be at the forefront of critical care, ensuring patients receive timely, expert treatment.

What You’ll Do: Shift Details: Three 12-hour shifts 6:00a-6:30p, 36 hours per week.

Employees are required to work a minimum of every third weekend and every third holiday.

To ensure adequate staffing and patient care coverage, additional weekend shifts or holiday assignments may be scheduled as needed based on operational requirements.

Evaluate patients at triage and assess actual or potential health issues.

Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed regimens via various routes (e.g., IV, IM, oral).

Provide age-appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates to the elderly.

Communicate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient needs.

Educate patients and their families about care plans and health management.

Participate in problem-solving, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction projects.

Ensure compliance with EMTALA requirements and hospital safety standards.

What We’re Looking For: Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

Licensure/Certifications: Active RN license in Nebraska or Iowa.

Current BLS & ACLS (Required).

PALS (Within 60 days of hire).

TNCC or ATCN (Within one year of hire).

Experience

Minimum of one year in acute care; emergency room experience highly preferred.

Requirements

Requires a nursing degree and an active RN license in Nebraska or Iowa, with BLS and ACLS certifications. A minimum of one year of acute care experience is required, with emergency room experience highly preferred.
