About the role

The Phlebotomist/Processor is responsible for collecting, transporting, and processing laboratory specimens. This includes performing venipuncture and ensuring all specimens are accurately labeled and delivered to testing areas.

Located at Miami Valley Hospital North (Englewood, OH) Part-Time Night Shift (10

  • PM-7:00 AM) with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Position Summary

The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.

Responsibilities

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures. Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport. Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems. Deliver specimens to testing areas. Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies. Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent. Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred. Safety & Physical Demands: Ability to walk 5-7 miles daily and stand for entire shift. Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals. Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies. Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas. Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly. Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness. CompuNet offers a full benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. Requirements
