The Admissions Caseworker accepts "Intake" calls and processes them. Contacts insurance companies for precertification re: benefits. Interviews incoming psychiatric patients and/or his/her representatives. Completes initial screening of patients and presents information to psychiatrist for approval. Coordinates admissions and on-site evaluations with assigned staff. Prepares all admission paperwork. Assigns patients to room (in consultation with nursing staff). The individual is competent to care for patients in the following age groups: adult (ages 18 - 64) and geriatric (ages 65 +). Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.
2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday – Friday, must work One - Two Weekends/Month.
BA/BS degree in psych/social work or related field required.
