  • What You'll Do
  • Provide direct clinical support to providers during patient visits.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories, vital signs, medication lists, and allergy information.
  • Assist with examinations and procedures, including wound care, injections, EKGs, blood draws, GYN exams, specimen collection, and other clinical services within your scope of practice.
  • Administer medications and maintain medication sample inventory.
  • Collect, process, and perform routine laboratory testing.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms while ensuring equipment is properly maintained and supplies remain current.
  • Assist with patient communication, medication refill requests, referrals, scheduling, and follow-up care.
  • Track immunizations and assist with vaccine inventory.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and PHC policies and procedures.
  • Support Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives and chronic disease management.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification or diploma required.
  • Clinical experience preferred.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Current Georgia LPN license required.
  • Previous medical office or outpatient experience preferred.

Requirements
