Perform general radiographic films and assist radiologists with specialized interventional procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Ensure radiation safety, maintain quality control of instrumentation, and manage patient records and preparation.
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Radiology Technician Special Procedures in the Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab departments. Here, you will take general radiographic films in the department and with mobile x-ray units in other areas of the hospital; assists with fluoroscopy; assist in teaching radiology students; prepare charge slips and other records as required. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist – Interventional Radiology performs all of the duties of the radiologic technologist and in addition assists the radiologist in the preparation for and performance of specialized procedures requiring advanced on the job training for both inpatients and outpatients of all ages

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with ARRT certification and AHA BLS certification. Requires an active Radiography accreditation from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety and residency within a 30-mile radius.
