(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Prepares equipment to efficiently collect blood products Performs venipuncture using vacutainer, syringe and butterfly techniques; capillary punctures using heel and finger stick techniques on patients.

Identifies and labels specimens Conducts designated laboratory testing Instructs patients on urine collection procedures.

Allocates urine specimens Cleans and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area Inventories supplies and places orders Enters laboratory data into computer system Maintains patient confidentiality Data enters is accurate and timely Monitors biohazard waste Ensures preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment and monitors Responsed timely to abnormal and panic values Maintains knowledge of all routine container and minimum volumes required for specimen collection Performs all other related duties as assigned You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications

High school graduate or GED equivalent National certification Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist 1+ years of experience in operating a variety of laboratory instrumentation 1+years of experience in maintaining all materials for collection 1+ years of experience in preparing written reports concerning the results of laboratory tests and input data into computer system Intermediate computer literacy Intermediate knowledge of laboratory techniques to perform routine blood and urine tests Intermediate knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing to perform quality control checks Basic medical terminology

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. Requirements

Candidates must be high school graduates with a national certification as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist. At least one year of experience in laboratory instrumentation, material maintenance, and report preparation is required.
