Assists Registered Nurses in providing patient care, including monitoring intake and output and collecting lab specimens. Responsible for maintaining a safe environment and documenting patient data in electronic medical records.

Assists RNs in the care of patients with healthcare needs including activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, collecting lab specimens, intake and output monitoring, and electronic medical record documentation

Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN)

Courses Required: Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and current enrollment in nursing school. The following have been grandfathered into the Nursing Assistant role: Foreign nurse, Foreign Physician, and nursing assistants hired prior to April 23, 2015 without a Florida CNA license. Primary Location: Clay - Main Building

Requirements

Requires completion of Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school and current enrollment in nursing school. Certain grandfathered roles for foreign nurses, physicians, or pre-2015 nursing assistants are also accepted.
