Master's level mental health professional (Lcsw/Lpc)

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Master’s Level Mental Health Professional to join our outpatient behavioral health team. This licensed clinician will provide counseling and psychotherapy services to adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Clinical services
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that support client goals and recovery.
  • Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy services.
  • Respond appropriately to client crises and emergencies, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule when required.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency, regulatory, and payer requirements.
  • Assist with obtaining and maintaining service authorizations and insurance approvals.
  • Meet established monthly productivity and billable service expectations.
  • Educate clients regarding agency policies, appointments, cancellations, fees, and treatment expectations.
  • Collect applicable co-payments and fees at the time of service.
  • Coordinate client care with psychiatrists, nurses, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and multidisciplinary case consultations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Professional & administrative responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and program evaluation activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and community partners, referral sources, and outside agencies.
  • Prepare and submit reports, payroll documentation, and other required administrative materials within designated timeframes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education related to mental health and substance use treatment.
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and educational programs.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required education & licensure
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Delaware licensure as a:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Preferred experience
  • Experience providing treatment for both mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus.
  • Required certifications
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of continuous driving experience with no serious traffic infractions.
