Assist physicians during surgical operations and procedures to ensure optimal conditions and patient safety. Collaborate with surgical nursing staff and ancillary departments to promote positive patient outcomes.
1. Graduate of surgical technology program 2. Knowledge of medical terminology required. 3. Knowledge and previous experience with anatomy, physiology, microbiology, surgical pharmacology, and principles of asepsis/sterile techniques required. 4. Familiarity with resuscitation protocols and an understanding of the tech’s role on a Code Blue required. 5. Incumbent must possess an increased knowledge of anatomy. 6. This position prefers, but does not require, specialty certification in the field of surgical technology. 7. Current certification in CPR/BLS required. Job Type: PRN Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month.
