  • Percentage: NoneJob Summary The Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and assists with CT imaging services under the supervision of a licensed radiologic technologist or radiologist, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. The LMRT is responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment within the scope of practice, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. When imaging volume is low, the LMRT also supports clinical operations by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the healthcare team with patient flow. Key Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiographic and CT imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly. Operate X-ray equipment and assist with CT scan procedures as permitted by state regulations and facility protocols. Verify patient identity and imaging orders before examinations. Follow radiation safety principles, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), to minimize radiation exposure. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and report any concerns to the supervising technologist or physician. Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions promptly. Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and prepare patients for provider evaluations when not actively performing imaging duties. Assist with patient flow, exam room turnover, and other clinical support tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations. Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and facility policies. Qualifications Current Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) license/certification as required by state law. Completion of an accredited LMRT program. Current CPR certification (preferred or required). CT experience or additional CT training preferred (if permitted within the LMRT scope of practice). Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, urgent care, or physician practice preferred. Skills Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques. Understanding of radiation protection and patient safety practices. Ability to accurately obtain and document patient vital signs. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with EMR and PACS systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Qualifications

Requirements

Requires a current LMRT license/certification and completion of an accredited LMRT program. CPR certification and experience with CT imaging or outpatient clinic settings are preferred.
