The Ultrasound Technologist performs and evaluates sonographic examinations and obtains clinical histories to determine testing protocols. They provide technical interpretations of physiologic data to assist physicians in making medical diagnoses.

Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer.
Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations.
Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol.
Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation.
9 months Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation. Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or hold ARDMS certification, with BLS certification required within 30 days. Experience in Abdomen and OB/Gyn ultrasound coursework is required, while Breast and Vascular experience is preferred.
