The Physical Therapist Assistant provides skilled treatment to residents to improve mobility, balance, and strength under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. They are responsible for implementing care plans and completing timely clinical documentation to justify medical necessity.
Provides physical therapy services to residents in accordance with established standards of practice, company procedures, therapy department procedures, and productivity standards. while supervised under a licensed Physical Therapist. Coordinates with licensed Physical Therapist to ensure goals within plan of care reflect the individual patient's needs and personal goals to reach highest practical level and to facilitate safety within the environment. Implements the patient’s care plan to address all short/long-term goals under the evaluating therapist’s supervision. Completes required daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharges in a timely manner to justify skilled necessity and to ensure best quality of care per Medicare guidelines. QualificationsRequirements: Associate’s degree as Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program Pass the state administered national exam (NPTE) Current, active licensure in the state of OK as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant Uphold state required CEU’s in order to maintain good standing with the board Valid driver’s license and an automobile in good working condition with appropriate insurance coverage in accordance with state laws Respectful, open communication with other team members, clients, and families
