Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and compounding a variety of medications, including oral, intravenous (IV), and chemotherapy/biohazard medications.
As a successful candidate, you will: Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times.
Utilize proper aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing.
Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufactures for timely deliveries of medications for infusion.
Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as required.
Procure and maintain supplies necessary for daily mixing operation.
Prescription order entry and process.
Coordination and submission of prior authorizations.
Determination of patient’s prescription benefits and seeks appropriate financial assistance when applicable.
Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Assist with routing and release of prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy Properly label and fills prescription drugs.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training, or a foreign pharmacy degree. Candidates should have at least 3 years of related experience, with a CPhT certification preferred.
