Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Pharmacy. Pharm D preferred. Five (5) years progressively responsible experience performing pharmacy functions in an acute care setting. Ability to serve as a lead worker to subordinate personnel. ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire. Continued employment is contingent on successfully maintaining current required certification(s) and/or license(s).

  • Requirements: Demonstrating knowledge and Competency of USP 797 Core Skills Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of Clinical Pharmacy including drug therapymonitoring, drug information, drug utilization review, pharmacokinetics, nutritional support, adverse drugreaction monitoring and cardiopulmonary arrest. Skill in prescribing trends, new drugs and developments. Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff. Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills. Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with other employees and respond to general public complaints. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Participation in Local, State and National Pharmacy Organizations to acquire/improve Competency Some travel, to follow-up with Corporate, Financial, GPO, Compliance and Pyxis issues. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D preferred) and five years of experience in an acute care setting. Must obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire and demonstrate competency in USP 797.
